Immersive Experiences

Birthright:

Birthright Israel is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Israel on an extraordinary 10 day trip around the historic homeland for free! The MN Hillel Birthright trip connects Jewish students to their Jewish journeys, identities, and, upon return to campus, their communities. Students are led through Israel by Jewish professionals and will experience Jewish history and Israeli culture through unforgettable tours, hikes, and unique activities. MN Hillel takes 40 students each Winter Break.

Shaller Family Leadership Mission:

Thanks to Michelle & Steve Shaller, Minnesota Hillel has been graciously awarded the opportunity to take 10 of our most involved leaders on a high-level leadership experience. On the Leadership Mission, students are challenged and inspired. Participants learn more about the rich history of the Jewish people and gain new perspectives.

To participate in the Shaller Leadership Mission students must:

  • Have been to Israel previously

  • Demonstrated commitment to Jewish life on campus and Minnesota Hillel

  • Commit to serving in a leadership position within the MN Hillel community

Priority is given to second-year students and above.

Israel Exploration Mission:

Minnesota Hillel Israel Exploration Mission is an educational trip to Israel and the Palestinian Territories open to all undergraduate students at the University of Minnesota. The purpose of the trip is to educate 25 undergraduates about the region’s history and current events while offering students an experience to shape their own opinions through travel, conversations, and exploration of its complexities.
