Our Programs

Minnesota Hillel understands that programming is not a one-size-fits-all solution, so we created different platforms to meet students where they are and create meaningful and impactful connections. Check out our program pillars below!

Shabbat & holidays

Minnesota Hillel serves as a home away from home for students to engage with Jewish life. Our delicious Shabbat gatherings and Jewish holiday celebrations provide a space for Jewish spiritual growth through exposure to pluralistic Jewish ritual and tradition. Students graduate with a greater sense of community and an understanding of what makes Judaism sacred or meaningful for them.

social action

Students drive MN Hillel’s ongoing pursuit of social justice. We provide opportunities to explore Tikkun Olam in ways that celebrate students’ passions, and encourage productive discomfort among diverse perspectives. By infusing these opportunities with Jewish principles, MN Hillel helps students craft programs and initiatives that inspire engagement and allyship within the campus, and greater community, to address the challenges of today. Students graduate prepared to be active leaders and allies in Tikkun Olam for years to come.

jewish learning

Minnesota Hillel guides students in navigating their unique Jewish journeys. In partnership with students and a diverse community of educators, we provide accessible learning spaces infused with Jewish text and tradition. With close to 100 programs annually, every day offers a new opportunity to learn and grow Jewishly. Through all of Hillel’s educational opportunities students graduate inspired to be life-long Jewish learners.

social experience

Social programming at Minnesota Hillel provides students the opportunity to build community while celebrating Jewish life on campus. Our social programming creates large-scale opportunities for fun events, study breaks, and more as community is the foundation of Jewish life on campus. Students who engage in our social programming are prepared to engage in social Jewish programming in the future.

Leadership development

Minnesota Hillel’s leadership development program exists to provide the future generation of students with the necessary skills to be proactive in finding the intersection between their passion(s) and Jewish life on campus while forming partnerships and building community. Through their involvement in our leadership program, students become prepared to continue driving their work long after they leave the University and begin contributing to the greater Jewish community.

Israel

Minnesota Hillel is the award winning hub of productive and nuanced Israel engagement, education, and immersive experiences on campus and beyond. We work with students to make Israel fun and accessible while also cultivating spaces that enable deeper conversation and learning; there are endless learning opportunities! Students who engage in our Israel space graduate with a greater understanding of their own relationships with Israel and its connection to their individual identities.
